AJWAIN FOR WEIGHT LOSS

There is a trend in the supplement world toward herbal weight loss. Many people assume that an herbal supplement is automatically safe, and that isn't true. Compound that with the fact than some people ascribe fat-burning or appetite-suppressant qualities to whatever herb happens to be in vogue, and you end up with many disappointed dieters with empty wallets. Ajwain is one such herb. No reputable source makes any weight-loss claims in connection with it, yet people still turn to it in the quest for a leaner body. Ajwain  Ajwain, also known as Bishop's Weed, has been used as a cooking spice in the Middle East, India and China for centuries. The plant itself is a small shrub with fine hairs, but the small, ridged, brown seed is the part used for cooking. The taste is said to be spicy and bitter, and although ajwain has been used for a long time, it is not widely traded outside its native area. Uses Besides being a cooking spice, ajwain has been used in Ayurvedic and Unani m...

What Are the Health Benefits of Raihaan (Holy Basil)

Holy basil, Raihan In Unani Medicine , tulsi, has been used for thousands of years in traditional medical systems throughout the world, but particularly in the ancient Indian medical systems of Siddha, Ayurveda and Unani. Unani Medicine - Growth in India

Unani may have disappeared from the country of its origin, but it has found root in India. Arab traders who entered through the Western Ghats long before Moghuls, introduced Unani here. The Khiljis, Tughlaqs and the Mughal emperors provided state patronage to Unani scholars and even employed some as court physicians.  Unani experienced its heyday between 13th and 17th centuries with the contributions of Abu Bakr bin Ali Usman Ksahani, Sadruddin Damashqui, Ali Geelani, Akbal Arzani and Mohammad Hashim Alvi Khan. They subjected Indian drugs to clinical trials and added numerous native drugs  to their own system, further enriching its treasures.  The British period saw the strictest restrictions imposed on any system of treatment other than allopathy. But despite these and the suspension of all aid to Unani institutions, the system survived due to the commitment of Hakims like Ajmal Khan. Ajmal Khan, who also served as the president of Indian National Congress in 1...
